Chandigarh, Sep 14 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to launch a mega 'Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra' from September 18, and senior party leaders are scheduled to participate in the campaign across different parts of Punjab.
The four-day yatra, aimed at highlighting the BJP's campaign for a drug-free Punjab, will cover key districts across the state, beginning in Pathankot and concluding in Bathinda on September 21.
According to the schedule released by the party, BJP National President Nitin Nabin will lead the campaign in Pathankot on September 18, marking the beginning of the mega outreach programme focused on the issue of drug abuse in the state.
On September 19, the 'Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra' will move to Fatehgarh Sahib, where Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is scheduled to participate and support the party's campaign for a drug-free Punjab.
The yatra will proceed to Fazilka on September 20. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal is scheduled to join the campaign and participate in the BJP's outreach activities in the district.
On September 21, the final leg of the four-day campaign will reach Bathinda, where Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will participate in the yatra, bringing the BJP's state-wide campaign to a close.
The BJP's 'Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra' is expected to serve as a major public outreach initiative centred on the issue of drug abuse, which remains a significant concern in Punjab.
The participation of senior BJP leaders is likely to provide political momentum to the campaign and underline the party's focus on addressing the drug menace in the state.
